X is for Xanax

On day 24 of the A - Z Challenge X is for Xanax

Couldn't think of an X word that would have been relevant, so I went with Xanax!  I don't take it.  But I do know several moms that have autistic children that do.  They call it their 'happy pill'.  Personally, I prefer a martini!

I thought I'd lighten it up today with some of my favorite xanax memes!

  5. I'm dealing with this right now, so I don't find it funny. My mother has been on Valium (the happy pill of the 60's) for nearly 50 years. I just found out a few weeks ago just how much she has been taking. Long story short...she needs to go into assisted living now. If it wasn't for those stupid pills...she would be fine! She has no other health problems...but a drug addiction and cognitive impairment!

    1. Sorry Melinda, was not meant to offend. There are a lot of addictions out there that's for sure. I hope she is able to get the help she needs to get off them. - xoxo

  7. I was given XANAX twice just for a day to be like a jelly fish for some in office procedures. I am sure my dose was ridiculously high as I felt I could possibly float out of my body. I know many people who take "happy Pills" like you... I'll take a happy drink instead... GREAT POST!

    1. Yeah, I could see myself needing a Xanax or 10 for a procedure - I am ridiculously fearful of medical stuff! - but my preferred method of 'medication' is a happy drink too! One that usually included my 'happy bottle' of Vodka! xoxo -
